　【就业方向】

　　美国工业设计的学生就业机会比较多，①些专业技术高、操作能力强的毕业生很容易找到工作。工业设计专业毕业生的就业方向主要有：建筑类产品设计、汽车外形设计、室内外环境与设施设计、广告设计、平面设计、产品研发、高校讲师等。

　　①些学校也与著名的公司有合作关系，比如：艺术中心设计学院Art Center College of Design，其交通运输工具设计专业就与著名的通用汽车公司有良好的合作关系。

　　工业设计师是具体化来自产品管理师或经理人(PM/Product Management)、销售分析师、市场分析师等所归纳开出的抽象客户使用需求，提案后客观研发新产品，或是再演化更精进的产品。

　　工作后的大方向会有Product designer, package designer, toy designer, furniture designer, exhibit designer等。

　　As part of the entrance requirements, applicants must demonstrate an understanding of design principles and visual computer skills using Adobe products. Applicants are encouraged to submit only their best original work. Applicants should not submit work copied from film, television, photographs, magazine/book illustrations or other sources.

　　Portfolios can be submitted on a CD, DVD or USB flash drive. Files should be saved as JPEG, PDF, QuickTime, or as a digital portfolio created in PowerPoint or Flash (JPEG images are preferred). Please note that digital portfolios will not be returned to students once submitted. Applicants may also submit a URL web address for online portfolios. HTML websites are accepted and encouraged.

　　Applicants for the Masters of Industrial Design program should submit a portfolio including both text (descriptions, problem statement, etc.) and images (from development sketches to finished work). The portfolio must contain examples of drawings as a communication tool, three-dimensional objects, and a basic understanding of graphic design, executed through presentation and layout. Showing both the process and execution of a project, along with problem solving and research is recommended. Please include any additional materials that tell the story of who you are as a creative person. Please use the description section in this section, which includes a section for additional information (up to ①⓪⓪⓪ characters or ②⑤⓪ words) to describe your process.for each image.
