Her novels Man-o-Salwa, Lahasil, Amar Bail, Husna Aur Husn Ara, Pyaara Bacha, Meri Zaat Zarai benishan, Mai Ne Khawabon Ka Shajar Dekha Hai, Darbar-e-Dil, Thora sa Aasman and Sauda have been adapted for television.Umaira Ahmed was an English language lecturer at Oxford University. She taught for quite some years but quit teaching a few years ago in order to give full attention to her novels. She has authored ⑤①⑥ books comprising novels, compilations of short stories, and plays. Her novels explore social problems particularly the role of men in the society.
